Members of Mercy For Animals hold a silent candlelight vigil outside Chicago's City Hall to mourn the repeal of the foie gras ban. Foie gras, French for "fatty liver", is produced by jamming metal rods down the throats of ducks and force-feeding them until their livers become diseased and swell up to ten times their natural size.
