Get your FREE 7-day Vegetarian Meal Plan from: www.KardenasKitchen.com Plus, you'll discover the 10 foods NOT to eat on a weight loss diet. Hi, I'm Kardena Pauza with www.kardenaskitchen.com I'm going to show you how to sprout Mung beans today. The first thing to do when you sprout your seeds is to use organic whenever possible. You will get less chemicals in your seeds. I use a sprout jar, but you can use a glass bowl if want to. Pour the beans in so they just cover the bottom of the jar. The reason for this is they will expand quite a bit so you need to leave a lot of room. Add enough water so the beans are just floating in it. Let them sit for 8 12 hours. You can use the sprout lid or just a solid Mason jar lid as well. While they are soaking, make sure the seeds have fresh air to breathe. You can let them soak on the counter, but out of the sun. After they are done, drain the water and refill with some fresh water to rinse them. Just swish the water around and then dump it out. Not all of the water will come out, but thats alright because you want a little moisture with them. Put them back on the counter and out of the sun and let them sit for another 12 hours. Let's say in the evening you rinse them, then you'll want to rinse them again in the morning. They will sprout within 2-3 days. Once you see little tails on them, they are done and ready to go. Mung beans have a great amount of protein, amino acids, calcium, iron and potassium. They also have more vitamin C ...

Get your FREE 7-day Vegetarian Meal Plan from: www.KardenasKitchen.com Plus, you'll discover the 10 foods NOT to eat on a weight loss diet. Hi, I'm Kardena Pauza from www.KardenasKitchen.com Today were going to talk about soaking sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, nuts, flaxseeds and all sorts of good things. I get a lot of questions about how to soak them, but first I want to explain why this is so important. I have these items in my food plans because they are packed full of nutrients. When you soak them, you will get more nutrition benefits from them. Soaking them releases the enzyme inhibitors and they become enzyme active which helps your body absorb and digest the nutrients. This will give your cells about 300% more nutrients which will give you more energy! I use these on a regular basis for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner and they are very versatile as well. They are packed with healthy oils, fats and lipids that your body needs. Were going to soak the flaxseeds. You cant drain the water off of them, so well pour them into a glass bowl and add water. Each seed soaks for a certain amount of time. You want to add double the amount of water to seeds. The flaxseeds will absorb all of the water, so you will end up with a gel around them which is normal. You need to soak them about 8-12 hours. Once they have been soaked, they are ready to use. You can put a scoop in your smoothies or add them to your breakfast. These are really high in fiber which is going to help ...

how to sprout brown rice - part 2 Jasmine Rice is the best brown rice family. It is very fragrant, the more you sniff it, the more you feel de-stressed and relaxed due to its fragrant aroma! HEALTH BENEFITS OF sproutED BROWN RICE: HIGHLY ACTIVE LIVE VITAMINS AND MINERALS: Brown jasmine rice is more nutritious and higher in fiber than the white, water-milled version. White jasmine rice is a starchy, refined food and, as such, temporarily raises insulin and blood sugar levels. Therefore, a diet high in refined foods, such as white rice, may increase the risk of Type 2 diabetes. Brown rice, on the other hand, poses no increased risk toward this type of diabetes, according to Healthnotes. When combined with drinking plenty of water, eating jasmine or any other variety of rice -- especially whole grain, or brown, jasmine rice -- prevents constipation. Because brown jasmine rice contains a fair amount of insoluble fiber, it can benefit digestion by helping flush food quickly through the gastrointestinal tract and softening stools. The vitamins and minerals in jasmine rice benefit the skin, may help prevent certain cancers and provide quick energy, since its is a complex carbohydrate. It's also a low-fat, sodium-free food. One cup of cooked jasmine rice contains 4.2 g protein, 44.5 g carbohydrates, about 200 calories, 0.63 g fiber, 2.3 mg niacin, 0.26 mg thiamine, 1.9 mg iron and 11.8 mcg selenium. Total fats equal 0.44 g. Jasmine rice registers as a "good" source of niacin ...

www.makeraw.com | This was a quick meal to prepare. One whole ear of corn, 1 brussel sprout sliced thinly, red cabbage diced and topped with some goat cheese. The saltyness of the goat cheese balances out the sweet corn. Then on the side I had a small portion of sprouted buckwheat. sprouting buckwheat takes a couple of days so be sure to google it before you attempt. To top it all off I had left over rosemary almond, flax crackers. You can substitute the crackers with toasted brown rice bread or your favorite bread. It's just nice to have something crispy or crunchy to eat.
