The key is to have the crab and sides ready to serve as soon as the crab is done. Of course it is important to not overcook. Live Cooking Instructions - Take the live Dungeness crab and place it in the freezer for 20 minutes (This makes it easier to handle when placing the live crab in a boiling pot). Then, cook for about 15 minutes and immediately place in ice-water for 10 minutes. Then you are ready clean it.

Ah...the oven and the tomato... now that's a romance worthy of a novel. The two were simply meant for each other... warm, earthy goodness. Well my loves... this one is over-the-top as far as tantalizing the taste buds goes. (Which as you know is one of my foodie missions and obsessions.) Certainly a real jewel to create this roasted tomato bread soup recipe in the summer... but alas, I am impatient, hungry, and feel the need to spoil myself and my family with this luscious lap even in the winter months! Hence the "long slow roasting" of the vegetables to bring our their inner sweetness and succulent nature. Now I know it really does sound long... 3 to 4 hours of tomato roasting. But when you get a whiff of your enchanting home with these beauties in the oven, well... brace yourself for sublime tasting... if you love intense hearty, swoon-worthy flavors that is. I prefer chunks of bread in my roasted tomato bread soup recipe... go with whatever size pleases your palette. Texture is a personal thing, I know. I insist that you shave a bit of Parmigiano Reggiano for further depth... it is just the most heavenly taste as it slowly softens on this tomato bread soup. I must know... Do you love tomato soup... beautiful soup... (OK, I took that one from Alice in Wonderland...) as much as we do in the Porter home??
