Honestly, I have cabbage left over from the other day when I made the stuffed
Honestly, I have cabbage left over from the other day when I made the stuffed cabbage recipe. Looking through the Southern Cooking Bible, I found a stuffed cabbage and a fried cabbage, but I recently did those, and I am not yet ready to recreate them. Then I saw Corned Beef with cabbage. Since there is no way I am cooking the Corned Beef, and my hatred of imitation meat won't allow me to Corn Tofu, I just decided to work off of the cabbage. It made me laugh so hard when I thought about just adding corn to cabbage and calling it Corned cabbage, when I know it had absolutely nothing to do with the corning process of anything, I decided to go with it. Find me: Twitter: twitter.com Facebook: www.facebook.com Pinterest: pinterest.com Blog: thesweetestvegan.com Corned cabbage Recipe - Everything not Corned Beef Ingredients: 3 cup water 1 head of cabbage 12 oz bag of frozen corn 3 tablespoons soy sauce 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 tablespoons agave 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce Directions: Bring a large pot of water to a boil over high heat. Quarter the head of cabbage, and then cut the hard core/stem from each quarter. Slice each quarter of into 1 inch slices and dump them into the boiling pot. Add to the pot the frozen corn, soy sauce, olive oil, agave nectar, and sriracha sauce. Reduce the heat to a simmer, cover and cook for 30 minutes to an hour depending on how tender you prefer your cabbage. Serve and enjoy. My Verdict: This cabbage was probably with best I ever had. There were ...

Hi, guys! I LOVE boiled cabbage. Here is a video about how I like my vegan cabbage stew- I use a small amout of red onion & a healthy amount of garlic..but this is all to taste. I sautee these two until soft, then add the (red) bell pepper, carrots & cook for a little while longer..maybe ten minutes. Then I add the cabbage & potato plus enough water for broth..salt & pepper then boil for at least twenty minutes..then I like to add the soy bean paste & let the mixture simmer for another half an hour. Hope you guys enjoy this!!

Fried cabbage reminds me of the Sautéed Collard Greens recipe I posted right before the project started. Like Collard Greens, cabbage is traditionally stewed to death. But Paula calls this new way of cooking greens frying, instead of sautéing. I can only guess it is because of the amount of oil. But, I am excited to challenge my palate and give it a try. Serves 6 Find me: Twitter: twitter.com Facebook: www.facebook.com Pinterest: pinterest.com Blog: thesweetestvegan.com Fried cabbage Recipe Ingredients: 1/4 cup canola oil 1/4 cup chopped onions salt to taste 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 head cabbage, shredded 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce Directions: Heat oil in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and salt to sautee until translucent. Throw in the minced garlic, and continue to cook for about 30 seconds. Slowly add in shredded cabbage about a handful at a time. As the cabbage wilts, toss, and add a bit more. Once all the cabbage is in the fry, toss in the sriracha sauce, and cook for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and serve hot. My Verdict: I really liked this watermelon ice. It was cool and refreshing, and without all the sugar, it was guilt free. The watermelon had a really green taste though. Something like what I would imagine cucumber water to taste and smell like. www.noreenskitchen.com Greetings! The end of a busy week has come and since we didn't have any soup for dinner this week, I decided that tonight was the night. I usually try to have soup at least one night a week because it is budget friendly and usually renders many servings. Molly requested that I make stuffed cabbage soup so here it is. This recipe was actually my own brain child. As you may know, I usually only make stuffed cabbage rolls once a year for New Year's Day dinner. They are just our tradition and truly a labor of love and worth every single minute it takes to prepare them. One year I had bought one too many cabbages. It had stuck around in the crisper drawer for a while and I needed to use it. I also had the remaining fixings for stuffed cabbage but was not motivated at all to do that so soon after having made it for New Year's. So I browned the meat, chopped the cabbage, threw in an onion and some seasonings, a bottle of tomato juice some crushed tomatoes and some water to fill the pot along with about a cup and a half of rice and let it all simmer. Ta Da! Stuffed cabbage soup. All the flavors that we love without all the work. Trust me, this one is a keeper. In the video you see me add more water at the end. It was needed after the rice had absorbed so much of the liquid. You can add less rice but it really does stretch the soup. After dinner tonight, I simply put the lid on the pot and placed it on the back of the stove to cool. In the morning it looked ...

TheBestOfGuide.com - cabbage Soup Diet | cabbage Soup Recipe The cabbage Soup Diet If you're looking for fast results without any thinking required, the cabbage soup diet might be the best choice for you The cabbage soup diet is simply as its name says -- a diet in which you eat cabbage soup. While this doesn't sound all that glamorous, there are many dieters who swear by it to help them with last minute weight loss needs. You will eat a special recipe of cabbage soup all day, every day for a week -- as many times as you like. You can eat as much soup as you like so that you're not hungry as well as drink water and take a multivitamin to keep up your energy. But you can also eat other foods, which many people don't realize. The cabbage soup diet works by limiting your calories as well as flushing out the toxins in your body that may be making you weight more than you like. The cabbage soup diet, normally red, will thus become green but that does not change the fact that eating such a soup, over and over again, is boring. Decided to make Corned Beef and cabbage one night and broke my camera out to film it. Not my usual genre, I know, but its something to mix things up here on youtube! I will list the ingredients out below. But it was delicious and I am probably going to make it again very soon. Recipe: 3.25 lb. Corned Beef 1 Large Yellow Onion - Quartered Potatoes - Desired amount Carrots - Desired Amount 3 Whole Cloves Garlic or Desired Amount Peppercorns 1 Head of Green cabbage - 8th'd into Wedges 4 Harps (Lagers) Bring to a boil and then simmer it all together (except the cabbage) for 50 minutes per lb. of meat. Then for the last 20-30 minutes after your meat becomes fork-tender, add the cabbage and continue to simmer until the cabbage reaches your desired firmness/softness. Then your ready to slice the beef and drain the liquids from the veggies and dish yourself out a plate of delicious corned beef and cabbage.
